Military Power Supply for UHF Military Radio

This military power supply was custom designed for a UHF military radio application. The application required the power supply to operate in a high temperature environment and be impervious to adverse weather conditions. This required the power supply to be mounted into a sealed enclosure. Additionally, it had to be convection cooled and operate without airflow. In order to achieve this, the design would have to be a baseplate cooled power supply architecture and had to be integrated to the heatsink on the chassis.

As with all of our military grade power supplies, we design them to meet all relevant military standards and specs. The most common military power supply specs are MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-1275. Although this supply did not require MIL-STD-901, we are able to design military power supplies to meet navy requirements for high shock sustainability.
