160 Watt Military Grade Power ATX Supply Product Description

This preliminary product specification outlines the electrical and mechanical characteristics for the proposed 160 watt, convection cooled, five output, military grade, ATX power supply. This power supply will operate from an ambient temperature range of -25° to +70°C. Unit will be designed to be military compliant to meet MIL-STD-461F & MIL-STD-810F. This supply will also meet UL/cUL 60950 and EN 60950 requirements.

  1. The combined power of +5V and +3.3V is 130W max.

  • Transient Response: Output voltage returns to regulation limits within 100 microsecond for auxiliary outputs after 50% change in load current.
  • Overshoot: Turn-on and turn-off overshoot should not exceed 10% over nominal voltage.


  • Over Current Protection: Output is protected for overload conditions exceeding 110-125%.  Recovery is automatically after removal of overload condition.
  • Over-Voltage Protection: Output is protected against over-voltage. Unit latching down will occur when output exceed 130%, and recycle AC input to reset.
  • Short Circuit Protection: The power supply is protected from short circuit conditions and will recover automatically after short circuit condition is removed.
  • Operating Temperature Range: -25º to +70º C
